Making Your Business Run Without You

in Project HOPE4 years ago

Having a good business is a beautiful thing. It's a child, some people call it their brain child. You've put in all the work. You've done all that it takes to make it what it is. As an entrepreneur, most times, your greatest pleasure comes from just knowing that you thought about it, built it, and it's doing great. Bringing in more than enough profit. A beautiful feeling indeed.

It's always tough at the beginning. When starting out, you pick a location. You employ your first few staffs, and you get the place running. Challenges that you could never have envisaged will confront you, it would take real and solid determination to make it past the first 5 years and still be doing strong. But it gets easier from there. When you've finally done it for several years, and you've come to understand the ups and downs. You get a grip of things.

Most times, entrepreneurs want to skip steps in the process involved in building a business. They look for short cuts. But I'll tell you this, there are really no short cuts in building a solid business, you have to patiently go through all the phases. And to do this, isn't easy. So it's no surprise why many want to skip some parts. But when you've must in the right efforts, and you've created something good. Next thing on your mind, should be making it run smoothly without you.

But as an entrepreneur, although, you may enjoy great pleasure working into your office or place of work. But the ultimate goal is to create your business, such that you don't have to be present at all times for things to be running smoothly. That's quite risky for the future of your business as well. This is simply because if anything happens to such a business owner, the business goes down with him.

Making it run smoothly without you should be your aim. Now, you can travel the world freely, and simply enjoy life and the fruits of your labour. All you have to do is create a system that would checkmate everyone, such that you can monitor your accounts and funds easily. Every so often, you employ the assistance of external people to help you cross check the accounts, to ensure your money is coming in safely.

You want a situation where you go to work because you feel like it, and you enjoy it. Especially when age starts to set in, you're older and not as energetic as you were when you started the business. You don't want a do or die situation, where your existence is tied to the existence of your business. As a measure of security for your family and loved ones, you should also make sure your business is able to run without you. So they don't run into financial difficulties, if for any reason, you were not around.

Thanks for taking time to read!

Great post!

Hello @devotedman
The operation of the company must be constantly monitored and monitored to the larg of all the processes that run in it, but the responsibility for this review cannot fall on a single person, it is unworkable as well as very in cash.
Delegating responsibilities is an excellent strategy, which must be carried out with the premise of a prior evaluation of the actors.
Regards.
