RE: Dimensional Additive Printing, the Future For Manufacturing (Using 3D Printing)

in Project HOPE5 years ago (edited)

Dear @futurekr

I've never actually understood how 3D printing works and what can be achieved with this technology. Based on my understanding, so far this solution is simply way to expensive to be used in mass production.

I also remember watching some Sci-Fi movie lately, where people who build first human colony on planet mars were using 3D printers to create their tools. And I found this concept very interesting.

Anyway I seriously would be worried if 3d printing would finally become efficient and cheap. That could potetnailly cause mass job losses across the globe. This is surely one of the most dangerous technology, which can threaten huge part of job market.

Wouldn't you agree?

Additional problem I see is the fact, that humans pay taxes from received income. 3d printing will help reduce cost of those humans. So there will also be less taxes going into the budget. Difficult situation, isn't it?

Solid upvote on the way :) Enjoy upcoming weekend,
Yours, Piotr

An Introduction to Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing

Any technology that implies a transformation in the production of goods and services, is initially a threat to the existing labor world, since all progress will always leave behind those who cannot reinvent themselves to face the new demands of the labor world.

You are right about this. It is certain the labour market might be empty soon as a lot of things are willing to make people jobless.
