If you're someone who always gets scared when you're faced with a competition, then it could be really tough to amass wealth. This is because accumulating wealth in most cases requires that you face other competitors. As a result, if you want to become very successful in business, it's rather important that you become more competitive as a person.

If you're able to come up with an excellent business idea, it doesn't take too long before someone else wants to get into that same business. It could even be that you're the one becoming a competition to other business people - by starting up a similar business. Whatever the case, you always want to be the favorite in a market place.

Being competitive requires that you do what it takes to be on top of the list. You have to possess that strong desire to outdo and outsmart the competitors. This may require that you attend seminars and gather new information that helps you set yourself apart from the rest in an excellent way.

In business, one major thing that helps you stay ahead of competitors is your ability to - delight your customers. When you're someone that always makes your customers feel very happy to do business with you; then the tendency is that next time that they want to do that same business, you'll be the one they'll patronize.

By delighting people who deal with you financially, you create a good reputation, which attracts more and more people to you. It's also important to make young kids always do things that are competitive - this is how you create a competitive habit in kids. Most of the greatest businessmen are fiercely competitive, as they always want to be the best.
