The market is too big, so I think Ethereum will still be fine on its own.
And besides, just with the sheer number of developers participating inside Ethereum network, that in itself is a strength that is hard to match.
Those developers are inspired by Vitalik Buterin, they want to be part of something bigger than themselves I believe.
