The High Hopes for December.

in Project HOPElast year

It has become a strong habit for so many people to draw out plans for the year on the first day of the year, we call them ''New Year Resolutions'', the resolutions are usually so deep, often written with a strong zeal of expectations for the new year, for religious people, lot's of prayers are made over the resolutions to help them accomplish everything they have written down for the year.

After the first day of the year, then we can categorize how people react to their yearly goals into different sections;

  • The first category of people are those, who work hard on their goals, from the very first day of the year, they already had everything they want to do for the year appropriately planned so they diligently work towards it day and night, with their eyes appropriately fixed on the target goal.

  • The next category of people are those who also definitely have a plan, but they believe so much in spiritual powers to put in any type of effort into getting things done. They believe that spiritual forces will be able to get them everything they want out of life. Some of the people who belong in this category do not believe in hard work, as they believe that everything they need is going to come to them with the help of the powers stronger than them.

  • There is another category of people, these ones are consistent in adjusting their goals as time goes by, the set goals they have written down for the year are just a planned path, but as days turn into weeks and into months, they see reasons to re-adjust the set goals either in an upward or downward manner consistently and they are just fine with working along with the plan as things changes.

  • The last set of people are those who do not even care about having a written goal in the first place, this is not to say they do not have plans for the year in mind but they do not just believe in writing down goals on the first day of the day.

What category do you belong to? Everyone has a reason why they believe in what they believe and why they do the things they do and I don't think anyone has the right to judge anyone's actions because things work for people differently.
December is, however, that time of the year when most people go over the goals they had set for the year and upon realizing they haven't accomplished as much as they should have accomplished, there is a great break in the heart there.

The festive season too places a lot of people under untold pressure as it has become a custom here for people to show off their wealth to family members and friends when it is that time for celebration. This is another December season where people are pressurized into flaunting the money they do not have which is one thing that continues to marvel me year in and out. A lot of people run into debt in a bid to show off their affluence this festive season and only begin to run helter-skelter to pay back at the beginning of the new year. It is never a good thing to put ourselves on a path of debt or put ourselves under pressure in order to please people who may not even care about our existence or how much we are worth.

The festive season is always a perfect time for families to come together and share beautiful memories, but it is really sad that some people also go into bad debt just to enjoy the festive season. Anyone who wishes to grow financially would have to kill such thoughts as well as abstain seriously from such acts.

I agree completely with you, the festive season should never be a time to run into debt.

I think we should celebrate festivals according to our wealth. Just to enjoy new year party with friends you don't need to take loans so i think people should care about it. You are earning good money and spending your money on this special day is not bad. Thank you for great content.

Yes, friend, spending the money we make on this special day is a good thing to do, but not going into debt in order to get it done.
