Elon Musk's "SpaceX" project is something we all have an idea. I'm really interested in this new Starlink project comes with SpaceX as it will provide high speed internet facility to anyone from anywhere in the world. This is a turning point for the entire planet and also it will affect the blockchain industry too. The project concept of Starlink is very innovative. It uses lower earth orbit to place thousands of small satellites and network them. According to the latest sources ,I found that they have planned to locate 12000 satellites. It sounds simple .. but the cost must be very high. But it will hit almost every internet service providers around the world.

Actually this concept is not new. It's a updated version of the satellite communication concept which we use even now. The great scientist , Arthur C. Clarke first brought this idea decades ago ( around 1960's) .

The current Starlink satellite system is a radical departure from Clarke’s original vision to put satellites into geosynchronous orbits along the equator. source
But I must say that , this low earth orbit satellite concept with laser communication is a new concept. Because in that level light should be traveling more faster than fiber optic cables. So theoretically communication speed should be high. And when considering internet services.. Speed really matters. Actually its the only thing that matters.. lol

One of my friend already placed an order for this.. but I'm not sure what will be the feedback from Sri Lankan government and Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka for this project. I'm very sure that even the capital is high ( unit is around 500$) , the monthly payment should be very low ( Gov can't regulate and tax). So I'm looking at this with a great interest !

There are two important things to know about this venture, the first is that if the project can be realised it could give freedom to thousands of people who have socialist governments that prohibit them from accessing technology so it is likely that many countries will start rebellions to show the world how they live and the second is that there is something called "early warning of celestial bodies" this is a system that is designed to warn the earth if a comet or celestial body reaches the earth this system will be affected by the number of satellites that will orbit and will make it quite complex to detect potential dangers in the universe.

If this project can achieve this .. it will be really great. But if the government want to ban this , they can easily ban the hardware importing and make this illegal in the country. just my idea on it. And about the second point , I think I need to do some research on it. I never thought of that.. it's worthy of taking a look.

I agree with you he is the Tony start of the real world let see how this project will goin future. I have seen that it's pre booking cross lacs of subscribe before launching only. And it will be huge success as this is directly Connected to the satalite and will give good speed without any lag.
