Nothing is free

Sometimes I go through adverts and all that stuff, to look at the companies that offer "freebies". These companies offer incentives in the name of "promotions" to people.

For most people that look at it on the surface, this is a nice gesture from the company. However, we all know that life doesn't happen on the surface and for a business, there's always a reward at the end of the tunnel.

I've been playing with business ideas for a while and thinking up strategies that I can employ to leverage this fundamental fact about human psychology. How can I make people think they're getting free stuff but at the same time, favour my company?

Crypto companies often employ Airdrops to drive interest in their product. Airdrops are tried and trusted approach in improving distribution, garnering interest and generally just perpetuating your idea to the public.

If I'm going to create a traditional business, I'll have to find a way to remodel this concept without actually hurting company finance. This will require detailed budgeting and research to ensure that the freebies connect with the target audience.

The point is that if you're trying to incentivise the utility of your business, simply "giving stuff out" won't work. You have to be strategic and consider a host of factors that will ensure that the stuff you give out will attract people to your business.

This is interesting, simply because it is about how to gain popularity and attention from the people around you. It sounds interesting to implement the thought of the airdrop in the normal world. I don't know exactly how it would like, I guess it depends on the kind of business you are doing. But still, it is for sure a way to make people aware of you, if you are successful and do it in a smart way!
