but it has been shown that many around the world are misusing it, the development of nuclear technology for war purposes, the development of unmanned aircraft (Drones) to be used in bombings where civilians die.

There is some briliant new technology out there and I cannot imagine a life without the tech I use daily but it does also worry me the destructive nature that the world has developed. As you mention, some have used technology to allow mass destruction and killing.
