Negative influences
Dear community, I was away from these places since my computer was out of order and it is my writing tool, I bring you today a perhaps controversial topic. I think it deserves the reflection of all of us, parents or not. It is about the new youth idols, years ago the artistic, sporting, intellectual idols of the youth were mediated or semi controlled by record companies, teams, and before any situation that could be called negative that group of people who had behind it was imposed.

Who are the leaders or influencers of young people today, other young people also teenagers in many cases perhaps with stronger emotional deficiencies, perhaps with more detailed intellectual deficiencies that spend their time hours and hours in creating banalities, empty content and often transmit their frustrations, a weak image that impacts on young people who see them. A few days ago, my 22 year old son, a follower of tik tok, showed me how a young girl talked about suicide with such banality and superficiality that it seemed like a joke, we all know that these topics are susceptible when they are transmitted to people who still have a criteria in formation. We hear young people talking about drugs, sex, the responsibility of sexual activity is diminished, paying homage to frivolity, superficiality, money, and that is what young people are receiving without any control. Responsibility should be a family affair.
On the other hand it is a chain of imitators, imitate a sexy dance, imitate some obscene words, imitate an outrageous joke, in addition to others whose depression is transmitted daily and compulsively by a young man who has not received the necessary attention and now influences many more, it is not alarmist my position is realistic. Culture and publications with real content exist, but they are not the majority, the moods of these young people who influence the lives of millions are seen without any control daily in networks, especially those of tik tok and the like. Many of these young people who influence the lives of so many are living depressive, psychotic, neurotic processes and sometimes leave truly depressing messages that cause a sensitive effect on their followers.
The other danger that can be suspected is the acceptance of dangerous challenges, i.e. videos that may endanger the physical or psychological integrity of people, or their privacy may be exposed, for example, the so-called desk challenge, where students hang their desk from a clothesline and climb up or the so-called Coronaviruschallenge, which was based on licking a public toilet during the pandemic.
Hello @aplausos, I do not agree that these "producers" on Tik-Tok are socially called influencers. Also in view of the dangerous challenges that young people follow, I have seen the superficial content and without any ethical or moral value that is spread and generates a large number of followers.
We are experiencing difficult times where vulnerable young people are being easily influenced by these people who, without knowledge or scruples, spread out-of-control and unregulated content, where in many cases they are inciting violence, bullying and erratic behavior of our young people.
I would agree if these social networks begin to be regulated.
