RE: How to avoid and eliminate crutches when speaking in public?

in Project HOPE3 years ago

Hello @garybilbao, although crutches are very common in many speakers, I think one of the ways to overcome it is to enrich our vocabulary, this way we will have an endless number of terms that we can use at the time deemed appropriate, of course despite having an enriched vocabulary often influence the nerves in the speaker which is something sometimes difficult to control, but as you mention, with lots of practice and discipline can be minimized.

See you later, have a great weekend.

Increasing vocabulary, learning many words will make us fill in or rather say the right words when we are looking for what to say.

About nerves, yes. They play a trick on us and even if we have practiced a lot, know a lot of words or know the best techniques, nerves sometimes betray us.
