How electricity gets generated from water.
Hello everyone I hope you all are fine and safe from the coronavirus outbreak .
Today i will tell you about the hydrowater plant. The function of hydro water plant is to make the electricity from the water . Which is firstly at the higher aptitude. We know that electricity is very important for us. We used electricity for our living. Electricity used for lighting purposed, cooling purpose, and many other important purposes of our life. Without electricity we cannot live our life with comfortable. There are lot of electricity sources in world but mostly electricity is generated from the water. Water is the main source of electricity in the world. The working principle of this project is that when water is at the higher altitude it possesses potential energy. Then when it is thrown from that altitude the potential energy gets converted into the kinetic energy or the velocity of the water gets increased. When the high velocity water strikes the turbine the kinetic energy gets converted into the mechanical work and after that the mechanical energy gets converted into the electrical energy.

There are many main component of this project which plays their role in generating electricity.
Dam: the dam is a reservoir . The function of reservoir is to store water. If there is water flowing through the higher attitude then dam is not used.
Channel: The function of channel is to take water from the dam to the turbine. When water flows through the channel potential energy gets converted into the kinetic energy.
Turbine: The function of turbine is to convert kinetic energy of water into the mechanical energy. When water strikes the blades of the turbine then apply force on the turbine that causes rotation.
Generator: Generator is the main part of this project. Generator converters mechanical energy into electrical energy by the eltro magnetic induction.

Working
Firstly water is stored in the dam. When the water is allowed to pass through the channel or pipe its potential energy starts converting to the kinetic energy. After that the high velocity water strikes the blades of the turbine. When the water strikes the turbine they start rotating and the kinetic energy gets converted into the mechanical energy. The shaft of the turbine is connected to the generator. When the shaft in the generator rotates electrical gets generated by the electro magnetic induction. That states when magnetic field gets changed inside the generator electricity gets generated.

In some ways hydro power plants are better than windmills, because fish can pass the power plant through ladders that are far from the dangerous turbines, but in windmills there is no protection against birds hitting the blades.

Maybe we've heard of the name Hydro Power Plant. The water resource is used to generate electricity, that is by using water from the source or from the dam to drive the dynamo or better known as the power plant turbine, this turbine will rotate due to the swift flow of water so that there is a change in potential energy from water to energy mechanical and then this mechanical energy then becomes electrical energy through a generator.
