From a fundamentally interpretative point of view, documentary research consists of examining, investigating, discovering and finding out details of a given subject by means of documents belonging to the organization, which, when analyzed, will provide elements of judgment in the evaluation that is carried out.

From there, the documentary administrative investigations are complemented with the examination of the physical facilities of the plant, constructions in process, general offices and their respective documentation, therefore, so that the information obtained, in order to be really useful, must be current and reliable.

In addition, the administrative documentary researches explain from its origin and application, since the documentation in general can be classified in two great legal and administrative segments.

Regarding the administrative analysis, it is based on various techniques, which are applied according to the subject evaluated, the time and the disposition of the organization; among them are those of an administrative type and those of an operational nature.

Similarly, within the administrative techniques are those that are directly related to this discipline, such as diagrams, graphs, organization charts, break-even point, marginal analysis, decision tree, total quality and reengineering.
