A NEW ERA FOR AFRICA

Africa is a continent of mostly black people with their beliefs about dress, their culture, as well as their food and lifestyle.

It can be said that the Africa of today is slowly losing it's value and belief's as civilization as affected us greatly in so many ways both negativity and positively. In the old days of Africa, our culture and belief's were held in high esteem as culture is what makes us Africans.
Civilization has greatly affected the young minds of the African youth as they tend to put away the things that make them Africans. we have greatly neglected the culture, ways and belief's of those that proceeded us.

Ladies have embraced a modern way of dressing (according to them),women of today, tend to wear inappropriate and reveling clothes in other to feel attractive and beautiful. But things weren't done like this as the African woman tends to cover her body and still looked extremely beautiful. She tends to keep herself clean until when she get's married.what happen to our curly thick natural hair that was the real envy of others?.I guess we could say that with the rate at which natural hair products sell these days we are going back to our roots.

Even our most regarded culture is becoming obsolete, the stories and folktales are almost no more.
Tales by moonlight stories which were mostly told in the evenings are no more, these were bonding time for kids and time to learn from the wisdom of the old.

We some how didn't even feel the impact of the whole scolding process, but am sure most of us can relate to the ways of discipline our parents were brought up with and the little we collected ourselves (floggings) according to our parents in their days, you could be beating for almost anything from, coming back home after sun sets, eating at a neighbors and for not answering when been spoken to,as funny as it may sound, sometimes they were been beaten for not joining their mates to play, for going to play football with their mates and even refusing to eat. sometimes flogged for generally been too Moody or happy and a lot of other reasons, and some of these reasons for beating a child might appear far-fetched today but they sure did happen and they are the norms that shaped the adults of today.

It is believed that the civilization of the westerns, which was imposed on the African lands has greatly affected our beliefs, customs, tradition and as well as our way of life but I guess it's true what they say that sometimes you have to loss something sometimes to gain so much as we are slowly defiling the odds and more people are been giving access to wealth. AFRICA will not loss it's Identity if we remember our roots.

Greetings @adesojisouljay, he considered that we are all capable of evolving and developing, I am glad that in Africa the necessary measures are already being taken to advance in every aspect of this interesting society.

Cheers

Cheers to you friend, thanks for your comment

Sincerely, there is a lot of changes that has been made to the African heritage, I feel it is impossible to take things back to the way they use to be, but from the remains that remains from our culture, we can impact the upcoming generation, this way we do not loose ourselves completely to civilization. This is not to say that, civilization has not brought us great benefits because indeed it has.

Yes bro, a lot of things can still be transferred to the coming generation. Some of us who have the remains of the cultural trainings can impact the upcoming ones.

Interesting choice of topic, growing up where as children first thing was go over and say a warm good morning to our parents have totally become a different story today its okay by parent very true civilization have done its part and we as Africans we are gradually forgetting our old ways history is all we got now so to say thanks for the share.

You are most welcome bro, I can feel what You are feeling

The customs, believes and the traditions of Africa are indeed beautiful, regardless of how good civilization is, we have to remember our root as well, we should not totally discard our values simply to gain some new norm.

Exactly, remembering our root is very important

Hi @adesojisouljay

It is a sad reality all that the African continent has suffered, for the different reasons that we can observe or hear, but we should be happy to see how little by little this continent is advancing again and has managed to improve greatly, as well as the economy of many of its inhabitants who currently base it on cryptocurrencies.
