This Holiday I Planned
As one grows up, it seems there are things which you have time for before but you ceased to have the luxury of the time any longer. I remember vividly when I was still a little bit younger, we will have time to spend diverse holidays in the year. But right now, due to lots of tight schedule and responsibility in my disposal, I have a lot to attend to which I hardly have time to attend to holiday. In fact, whenever I have the opportunity for holiday, I always see it as another avenue to attend to my work schedule.
But nevertheless, I will not despise the fact that it is necessary for us to actually spend quality time with friend and love ones and sometimes go for quality holiday. Even in my busy schedule that I really have, I am already having plans to spend quality time with my friends and love ones during this end of the year holiday. I am targeting the upcoming Christmas holiday and trust me, I really have amazing plans for it.
When I look at this year Christmas holiday, it makes me remember that it has been long I created quality time for the Christmas holiday and so this year, I am not joking with it at all. The first plan is to travel to my village in mopamuro at Kogi state. The last time I was there was around 5 years ago when my elder brother was actually getting married. Going back there after 5 years will be worth it. Though I know vividly that a whole lot of things will have changed.
People will have changed, the environment will have changed and lot more but at least leaving the environment of the city and trying to have the feeling of the village will once again connect me to the family background. Just like how they usually say, there is no place like home. I will never joke with my family root and that's why I have make it upon myself to travel to the village this year no matter the cost. I have already made plans to make sure that by December, I am free from any work task from my workplace.
My intention though is that I will get to our village around the first week of the December so that I can get familiar with the environment and people first before the Christmas period. Of course I am planning to help my parent with some house work also as they are also planning to travel along. Well they always travel to the village every year so it will not be strange to them. I knew that during that time, it will be a whole lot of work for me as I will be attending to lots of house chores so I am already preparing my mind for that.
Though I am still planning it though as it is not yet looking visible but I am really planning to actually spend the Christmas with my friends and not my family alone. Most of the time, we all know the holiday to be spent with families but I actually want it to be spent with my friends also. I am already informing some of my friends if they can follow me to my village for the Christmas holiday. Though for now, none of them have been able to promise me that but well I am still working on it.
For now, it is still a wish in my mind which I believe so much will come to pass. If you will ask me, I will tell you that I can't really wait for this year Christmas holiday to come and spend quality moments with friends and love ones. I truly can’t wait.
