Gambler Mentality... Still Alive
It's been such a long time I've been to a casino and honestly don't really miss it too much. I was never a gambling addict, but I do have my experience with it and I know how 10x dopamine shots feel like when winning big time and how cortisol can turn you into a vegetable after loosing more than you were imagining when entering the devil's playground.
I have never leverage traded though, considering it as some sort of a gamble... till a few minutes ago. I always considered that it is pretty much like gambling against the house actually and the house always wins. This time though, after reading @toofasteddie latest post on going long on XRP I said to myself, what the heck... I'll do it as well.
I didn't played exactly the same as Eddie, because I'm not familiar with leverage trading on Binance, so instead, I bought some XRP bull on Poloniex. What they have there is gambling for dummies, or should we say leverage trading for dummies, which is actually just a 3x leverage trading that seems easy enough even for me. Fine with that and also fine with my bet.
Just out of curiosity I threw $40 into going long, or should I say buying the XRP bull, and see what happens the following days. What do I got to loose after all... I used to gamble $40 in minutes in the good old times and that's still peanuts money for some serious players... Anyway, my bet is somehow fundamentally based, thanks to Eddie, who mentioned in his post that XRP is having an airdrop in the near future and the snapshot is December 12.
Usually cryptos appreciate a lot before the snapshots and that's what makes my bet an almost winning one. The plan is to hold the XRP bull till like December 11 and sell it a day before the snapshot. Now, I don't know the logic behind those bull bear betting, but I do know that I purchased 0.81 XRP of bull for the $40 I am willing to gamble at a $49 per coin price and am planning to hold it to like $100 per XRP bull. Basically doubling my money.
Doubling my $40 in four days will definitely make the risk worth. I have my car insurance due in January so I'd might pay it with XRP bull :)) If not, I'll simply let the bet age and the next year it will for sure become a winning one. The bull market is already started and there's still a lot of room to grow. If other shitcoins will do good, XRP will do as well. Wish me luck with my first leverage trade and see you to the next one(post).
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
A good idea, I hope you can do it because having this mentality is risky but I consider that in life there are times when we must take risks and that is what makes us winners.
I wish you success in your bet!
