The Diary game/ Better life/ 18/10/2021/surprise baby shower turns into tears

It was a shower of love to my best and long time friend by names of Jesca Namukasa, as we celebrated her impending birth of a new baby. She is one of a few friends of mine to whom we can share experiences and challenges we go through in life especially as ladies. ❣️

As you may be aware, baby shower celebrations are usually held close to the end of the gestation period of an expectant mother. As Jesca's friends, we scheduled for a surprise baby shower to our dear friend just in the last three weeks to birth. Unfortunately/fortunately she started experiencing labor signs a week before the date we had scheduled! A lot of panic and tension raised among team members and we resolved to surprise our friend the following day after when we got to know that she had started getting labor signs.
One of our friends who had experienced it before, told us that in some cases it may take other more days if not a week after having those signs with out giving birth, so we should not panic. We were abit convinced but we still had to make it that day.

As a close friend of her, I was given the responsibility of making her reach the venue with out her suspecting of any thing like a surprise. I had to travel for not less than 100kms from Masaka to Kampala in order to get her to the venue, and that was HERA HOTEL - Lubaga road, Kampala. This is where we got a great view on the rooftop with a fresh breath for our expectant mother.
Both baby shower cake and decoration were amazing with a nice color theme.

On reaching her place in Kampala that early morning , it was not all that easy to take her to the venue.

I decided to deceive her that my new catch(boy friend) proposed an appointment with two of us since he was leaving the country on that very day that we had no option. She hardly didn't want to go as she had to visit the hospital for scan after experiencing labor signs. Indeed she had no time for outings other than visiting her doctor for maternity, but I insisted untill we agreed on meeting him at around 11:00AM.
This lady was very strong to the extent that she drove me to HERA HOTEL from her place.

On reaching the reception, we had to use a lift to reach the rooftop. This was a tough moment full of tension as the receptionist suspected that we are going up to the rooftop to meet our friends and I had to pause a statement "we are going to meet one person and a he! " 💃💃 As if this receptionist was planted to destroy our plan! However we managed to reach the rooftop and this is when she was showered with love surprisingly.

Tears of joy streaming down her face on reaching the venue.😂😂😂

Smartness was key as mustard yellow and papple color were passwords to the venue.

We continued to shower her with gifts, love and good wishes before the birth.
