THE PRESIDENT'S SPEECH

Hello my fellow steemians here, hope we are having a wonderful weekend. As always, i normally update you about our president's speech. Though am late, allow me tell you about what the president said on 31st if December 2021.

These were his words below

• Although we are reopening the economy, be alerted that the omicron variant is spreading very fast. Previously, we had reported corona death , but we have started seeing them recently.Be responsible for your life.

• Curfew will be lifted for everybody when the perfoming arts resume( 2 weeks after schools open) , apart from boda bodas will have curfew from 7pm to 5am. .....ebyamwe biwanvu....😂😂 he said.
• The perfoming arts, concerts , bars, and discos will be opened 2 weeks after the opening of the schools with SOPs.
• The transport sector will be opened fully whike fully wearing masks and following SOPs by both the crew and public service travelers.
• Uganda scientists have discored subastances that seem to cure COVID-19. and other viral diseases. I have spoken to some patients that have said that they have been cured . Dr.Ogwang is trying out the medicine in clinical setting.
• All citizens above 18years should go and get vaccinated. Vaccines are available everywhere in the country. That is one of the solutions we have now. Those above 50years who have arleady received the two doses, should go for abooster dose(3rd jab).
• Some of the measures may be reversed if COVID 19 high dependency and ICU bed occupancy exceeds 50% and if the daily rate of the hospitalisation of critically ill patients is sustained at 30 per day for 5 dayz in 2 or more Covid units.
