Hello Family,

Wednesday, Wednesday.

I woke up well, said a prayer and started with the beautiful day, then had a warm shower and washed a few clothes. We oiled our hair with coconut oil, trimmed my eyebrows and just wanted to look lovely. I then started revising for the up coming exams, however, I do not know how but I started dozing and before I knew it, I hit the floor to rest just a little. It was a good nap , when I got up , my other two sisters followed suit, they also took an hour's nap.

Around lunch time, I read the book of Judges 11:1-40, the story of Jephthah.

This was a son to a harlot and a mighty man of valor. However, the legitimate sons ganged up against him and threw him out of the home claiming that him being an illegitimate son , he could not inherit his father’s property. Jephthah dwelt in the land of Tob however, when the Israelites were attacked by the children of Ammon, the Elders of Gilead came looking for him to be their head. We all know the adage that once bitten twice shy, Jephthah made the elders promise that if given chance to go and lead the people, he will be made the head and not disgraced like earlier.

The rejected stone became the chief cornerstone when he delivered the Israelites from the hand of the children of Ammon.

This ministered to me, that God does not choose the wisest of all, he chose Jephthah son of a harlot and made him a mighty man of valor. The way God qualifies us is not because of our looks, back ground, or anything. He looks at the seed of greatness he deposited in each of us and that is what he clings on no matter our mistakes. Not at any one point do we see the legitimate sons being talked about or even much about his father. God’s eyes were on Jephthah.

I also know that God’s eyes are on me so, I shall not worry about anything.
We had fellowship and called it a day.
Thank you so much
