6 Under-rated STEEMPEAK features?

in SteemPeak2 months ago

As I continue the work on prepping https://steempeak.com/ communities interface I thought I decided the SteemPeak community needs another good post and I'd love to get some interaction from you all on this fun topic.

WHICH STEEMPEAK FEATURES DO YOU THINK PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT BUT THEY SHOULD?

Meaning which ones are underrated or under the radar?

I'd love to hear them and so would @steempeak we'll both be watching for your posts or comments and curating.
Tag me or steempeak but as per usual the best tag to use is #peakreview

MY TOP 6

Not in order of favorite... but #4 and #6 are my favorites

  1. Account Claiming
  2. Schedule a post
  3. Setting Null
  4. Snippets
  5. Upcoming rewards
  6. Lists

1. CLAIMING ACCOUNT CREATION TOKENS ... and using them.

Having like 4-5k SP is often enough to claim an account creation token. So I'm able to claim a few every week... I presently have 35 and am looking forward to a referral system by steempeak.com at some day where I can get all my friends and followers accounts.

2. SCHEDULE A POST

I know lots of people know about it but for how good it is i still think it's underrated.

3. SETTING NULL AS BENEFICIARY = GETTING BURN ICON

If you set your rewards to get burned then you get a nice little icon and i think that's awesome and people may not know about that. Also steem.dao as beneficiary works

4. SNIPPETS

Ability to save text that I use often on posts is really one of the coolest features for someone who creates content on Steem a lot. As you can see below i have a bunch of them.

5. Upcoming rewards filter with totals found in the activities page

I don't use this one personally a ton... but I feel like it's almost totally unknown by most people so it's a fun one to share.
I use the filter right above it for BENEFACTOR REWARDS on the @steempeak account to see which users have added @steempeak as a benefactor.. and then have added them to a list and check out their posts often.

6. LISTS (My Favorite)

No matter how used it is it's still way too under-rated... because it's one of the best unique features for https://steempeak.com/

  • Feeds from my lists
  • Follow privately instead of follow publicly using blockchain
  • Organize and categorize
  • Check content based on what content i'm wanting to see right then. (Photography, steem stuff, splinterlands, friends etc)

As you can see below i'm a big time user and categorizer in general in life

Thanks for the reminder about claiming the token. I really loved the scheduling the posts when I was on vacation, super great feature. I still use my bookmarks too. I put in posts that I want to go back to later, like awesome places to visit in Norway!

BOOKMARKS is an under-rated tool for sure. However I think we could make some additions to it to make it amazingly better.

Yes I agree. I would like to see where I can group them together for say travel, recipes, etc.

a cool thing to add would be the option to autoclaim accounts. I just keep forgetting... I did it on steemworld for ages and discovered the option on steempeak a while back and have been using it since then.

I have not used the lists yet and have been looking a bit now. I can see the option but not where I have to set up a list

I'll add it as a ticket on our steempeak requests... not sure what it will take but it's something to look into for sure. Or at least CLAIM ALL/MULTIPLE.

I'm gonna go with Services under Tools.

It shows some of the helpful little things that make your browsing experience a bit better.

I actually thought about that one. It's where i send people specially if they need to go get the Keychain link.

I liked the upcoming rewards filter a lot when I first noticed it, I guess several months ago. It stopped working after a short while, though and has never worked again since then. I'm surprised to see it working in your browser. I had assumed it was broken for everyone.

Pin post to blog can be a contender? I just learned about it from your profile. Of course, it only works in Steempeak, like countdown posts.

Pinned posts AND countdown are both totally decentralized options with info stored on the blockchain.... however only Steempeak.com are presently supporting them with an interface. You can encourage other front ends to support them as well.

Maybe someone like @quochuy will make a PR for condesor? Or @roadscape will be willing to add it to the new beta.steemit

That's good to know! Maybe they will. As long as the same info from the blockchain is displayed at least by general purpose interfaces, pinned and countdown options make more sense if they have a unitary treatment.

Cool stuff. I'm not using all the features, but Steempeak is my preferred web interface these days.

Thanks for the good reminders and tips! I added your post to this SteemHelp index.

I can't find the 5th. Where is it hidden?
