¿Sabes que significa?
La Catrina, es figura cadavérica mexicana muy artística, originalmente fue creada en el año 1910 por José Guadalupe Posada, el cual le colocó La Calavera Garbacera y cuyo nombre fue inspirado de la palabra "Garbancera", término que venía de las personas indígenas que vendían garbanza y que pretendían ser europeos, dejando a un lado su cultura, por otro lado esta calavera era sólo hueso sin ropa y con un sombrero estilo frances con plumas
Posada textualmente tenía la idea de que "la muerte es democracia, ya que a fin de cuentas, güera, morena, rica o pobre, toda la gente acaba siendo calavera"

Sin embargo, aunque fue creada en 1910, la historia cuenta que sus inicios datan a partir de 1858 durante los períodos de gobierno de los presidentes mexicanos Benito Juárez, Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada y hasta Porfirio Díaz, durante este periodo la clase media criticaba mediante escritos, dibujos y en forma de burla el comportamiento de la clase privilegiada

Años más tarde, el muralista mexicano Diego Rivera la Bautiza como La Catrina, definiendo el nombre de la palabra "Catrin" que representa a un hombre elegantemente vestido acompañado de una dama de la clase pudiente en México.

Mas de 100 años después, los Mexicanos la utilizan para el día de muertos, para representar sus tradiciones y cultura, también por artesanos, cineastas en varias peliculas y un sin fin de personas que aman o le crea intriga lo que significa 💛
