STEEM: The honey badger of communities, fighting to protect decentralization and DPoS. | A united community remains strong.

in OCD5 years ago

After so much speculation about the sale of STEEMIT, users finally had confirmation that Ned had completed the platform sale transaction for Justin. Initially, many people believed that this was the right decision, because it had been a long time since there was any improvement here and Justin's arrival could shake things up a bit.

In fact, a big change was going to happen... But it would not benefit us as a community and it was the cause of the blow that Justin wanted to give us, that the Steemit community decided to unite, put some differences aside and fight for the rights already acquired over the years (after all, this battle is for the benefit of everyone who keeps this place up and running).

My first meme is based on the scene (the blow of the poisoned apple) from the movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs represents the sale of Steemit, where before the sale happened, Ned hid some things from Justin (who was eager to make big money around here acting in the wrong ways) and that made him break his face thinking that he would do everything he wanted around here just according to his will.

My second meme is based on a scene (battle between Gandalf and Balrog) from the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and represents the resistance that we are all making (through union as a community) to not let Justin dominate this place with his majority rules and his bots army.

"You will shall not pass!"

My third meme is based on a scene (movie theater burnt and Hitler's murder, planned by the character Shosanna) from the movie Inglourious Basterds and represents the union of the Steemians, which is - little by little - undermining Justin's plans and showing that he is poking the jaguar with the short stick.

My fourth meme is based on a scene (a dangerous attack on the crew in the middle of the sea) from the movie In The Heart of the Sea and represents Justin's greed about what he can get out of users with his new methodologies to "improve" (in his mind) Steemit and Steem more broadly.

My fifth and final meme is based on the scene (a duel of interests) from the movie 300 and represents Ned's persuasive power in convincing Justin to buy Steemit (even though some rules are not so clear to him, which were clearly hidden) and the glimpse of authoritarian power that Justin thought he would have here.

JUSTIN (thinking): "My new land..."
NED (thingking): "... Your new trouble."

So... That's it, folks. I'm not very good at it (make well-designed memes), but I tried to do something fun and that had a message behind it. I hope you guys liked the idea and that the memes are accepted for the contest.
