Travelgirl's Parenting Milestone ....

Hi Everyone,

Pausing my travel post today as today has been a rollercoaster day for me. Today is a new milestone in my parenting life since having the little ones. My eldest boy Baby E started Kindy! This is a huge milestone for him and as parents, it's like they have grown up overnight. It just felt like I just had home and took him home from the hospital. That was just less than 5 years ago.

He is one of the younger kids in his year as he will be turning 5 in March. Many parents in our area pull their kids back and have them start school when they turn 6 but Baby E is ready so we decided to send him to 'big school' or else he will be super bored at daycare. His teacher also thought that was the right choice. Many have warned me that mums can get emotional but it was quite the opposite for me.

I was stressed .... trying to get out the door on time, get his dressed nicely, it was pouring so we couldn't walk to school so drove instead .... things were just not panning out as I have hoped for. There was no time for pictures as the rain threw the plans made by the school out the window. I did get a few snaps but nothing like what I have imagined. I then went to the local cafe to catch up with some parents as it was organized by the school and got to know a handful of parents in Baby E's class.

This is the start of a new journey or Baby E and the family. Although it was a bit chaotic, we made it and Baby E had an enjoyable day. He spoke about his new buddy who is an older kid at the school so he can show him around, he told us about his new friends in class .... endless stories.
