Coronavirus Closer to Home, Literally!~

Hi everyone

The virus has hit me closer than what I have expected. With over 100 people infected already in Australia, we will expect to see the numbers climb. What is alarming is the resent infected high school student actually came from a school 2 mins drive from my place. It’s 1 minute drive from baby M‘s daycare. A bit worrying but we can’t do much apart from being diligent with washing our hands and keeping our hands away from our face. After the news came out, I see more people wearing masks on the buses in our area and I am one of them.

I actually stopped wear masks for some time but with many local communitiy possibly be infected already, precautions need to be made. The girl’s mum also has been tested positive with the virus and her dad is also getting tested. Depending where this family lives, we may have crossed paths in a few places as our area isn’t overly busy. The one thing reassuring is we are still young and can recover far quicker than those in the older generation. I’m more worried about my parents and in-laws so we have suggested that we see them less, maybe not see them to be sure for these 2 weeks. They are over 60 and are a risk. Winter is coming and there are already preparations that we will see more cases in the coming weeks.
