Keto Sushi Recipes - Homemade Sushi Without Rice 🥑🥒🥕🍤🥓
Keto diet is very popular. It is a diet very low in carbs and high in fat. I am not a fan of any diets, but my daughter is doing keto and she is happy with the weight loss results. Therefore, I came up with some food recipes that are very low in carbs.
Today I want to share some no-rice sushi recipes. Yes, you heard that right! No rice, not even cauliflower rice! Below is a photo of her plate yesterday. Doesn’t look too bad, right? The carb count is extremely low, so she could eat as much as she wanted.
I am using roasted seaweed. It had zero net carbs. 😊
The first layer should be rice. I am using tuna fish from the can. Drained of course. For this roll I spread some mashed avocado on top of tuna, then cheddar cheese and some shredded carrots for added crunch. I like to use cheddar cheese blocks, it is very easy to cut it in long stripes. I shred the carrots, so that I don’t put too much, as carrots have carbs. 🥕
Now you roll it using the bamboo mat... and I forgot to take photos of the whole roll. 😜
For my second recipe, I use canned pink salmon. Drained and spread evenly on nori sheet. Then cheddar cheese stripes, celery stalk (thin slices) and some shredded carrots.
For my third recipe, I am using stripes of cooked chicken, avocado, sliced radishes and mozzarella cheese. As you can see, it is a good combination of soft and hard ingredients, so the roll will stick together.
After I finish my rolls I put them in the fridge for 30 minutes or so, and then I cut them in bite-size. I use a sharp knife and I wet it periodically when I slice the rolls.
