My Travel Story of Lachung, Sikkim.

in OCD5 years ago (edited)

Lachung is a one of hill station of sikkim, state of India. Yesterday i share Yumthang valley photo which is near to Lachung. It is around 120 kilometer far from capital Gangtok. We rent hotel in gangtok mg road. We hired a car to go Lachung. It has taken around 2 and half hour to reach there. We noticed that lachung temperature is high than Gangtok. Today temperature is 9 degree celcious. In lachung we have not seen any ice on road.

We started our today journey at 7 am. We complete our breakfast at hotel lobby of mg road. We hired same car. Driver took 3000 rupi to go lachung. On the way we noticed every road has go beside the naff river.Whole journey we have seen naff river.

Lachung is high around 10000 feet from sea level. No ice there but very cold weather. This area is known for border with tibbet, china. There are lot of nepali and bhutani people. Few days ago road of lachung was covered by snow. But now winter has gone. And tempereture increased lot there.

Before reach Lachung, we have seen bakhtung water fall and we capture photo of there. I had seen bakhtung waterfall before when i came here 6 month ago during rainy season. We also stop our car at tiger hill to see kanchonjhanga hill. This area is popular for seeing sunrise at early morning. Otherwise tiger hill has no other beauty.

We got there lachung river. In gangtok this river name is naff. But in lachung same river they called lachung.Today is our 3rd day. We have permission one day more to stay in sikkim. If we want we can increase our days but we have to go again to sikkim border.
