Still life

Still, life is a fine art theme with different motifs, with objects, fruits, and vegetables, flowers in a vase and more. The oldest still lifes appear on mural paintings in Pompeii, ancient Greece, and on mosaics in ancient Rome. In the Baroque period, it was separated and became popular as a painting theme. During the study it is often used as a theme, to develop a sense of proportion.
