RE: Wandering greetings in February
I enjoyed reading this @macoolette. Nice to learn you have sponsored a child through this international agency. My daughter, at one time, did the same thing. I cannot say whether she is still doing that or not. But, I can only imagine what it must have been like for you to meet Wilson and his mother. Lifetime memories?
As for the delay in delivery?! Wow ... In this day and age, seems like an extraordinarily long one. Maybe it fell behind a desk somewhere, then the cleaning person found it ... 😉
At any rate, it did finally make it to you. And you've written a nice post about what it means to you. Thanks for sharing it!
Hi there @roleerob! I apologize for the late reply. I have been just peeking in to Steemit in the last week.
I hope your daughter continues her sponsorship. It is really humbling and life changing specially if she gets a first-hand info of how the child is doing like I had when I visited them. Yes, it was a lifetime memory. I actually planned for second visit but World Vision did not allow me because of the then just passed killer typhoon Haiyan where hundreds were killed.
Maybe you're right about the delayed delivery. My Christmas card became a Valentine's card. 😊
I hope you're having a great weekend over there! 🌞
Not to worry @macoolette. I am also way behind "in here," with too many pressing matters "out there" ... I am myself resigned that I cannot keep up "engagement" in here at the level which might be desirable. At least I can't and still keep up with my other responsibilities in "the real world" ...
These lifetime memories, I believe, help keep us "grounded." As to what is truly important in life. And what is not ... You have shared with us a great example.
Until "next time," take care my friend!
Yap, real life can be demanding some times. I can not even start the posts that I have been thinking of writing. Thanks to tasteem that is easier for my mind to flow everytime I eat. 😄 Oh well, first things first...
May you have a great week ahead!
