I've been using a combination of using creative commons images, with some modification in GIMP photo editor and sometimes deep dream generator to make digital art and unique images for my blog.
This Krita software looks like something I could experiment with, although I'm a writer first and foremost. It is fun to learn new stuff!

I use GIMP, Inkspace, and now Krita. I am not really a digital artist but I like to draw and play with colors. I study English Literature but work as copywriter so maybe a writer suit me better hehe. It's always fun to learn new stuff :) I recommend you to use Krita for your story props cause it's really better than GIMP.
