Cansado de tantas injusticias, de tantas miserias, de tantos fracasos;
agobiado por el encierro obligatorio, por la rutina diaria.
No son palabras las que expreso, son pensamientos constantes;
es la impotencia de hacer lo que no se es permitido,
es la necesidad de buscar lo que se ha arrebatado;
la libertad se ha perdido, la comunicación se ha limitado,
la grandeza de tu gente ha quedado en el pasado,
la esperanza del futuro, para muchos ha aminorado,
el dolor de esta miseria cada vez más a socavado.
las acciones de tu pueblo cada día más desgastado.

Los amaneceres de mi barrio muestran una nueva cara,
el silencio de los gallos, el vacío de sus calles,
la ausencia de las aves y el infinito de la nada,
una tristeza profunda se refleja en las personas,
una sonrisa perdida y un sentimiento que abandona.

La inocencia de los niños, ignorantes de la realidad,
un escape momentáneo a la ya eterna verdad,
una luz que se presenta ante tanta oscuridad,
una alegría que brinda fuerzas para luchar.

¡Oh! Patria mía, hasta cuando has de soportar,
este yugo que nos tiene entre la espada y la pared;
cuántas lágrimas más se deben derramar,
para que te levantes en auxilio de los que no tienen poder,
para que este vil egoísmo pueda desaparecer.

     Hoy dedico este relato, presentado en poema, nacido del silencio de mi boca y de los gritos de mis pensamientos, a todos mis hermanos, a todos mis lectores y a la comunidad en general.

      A través de ella, hago un llamado a la reflexión, a que no permitas que el silencio sea el que hable por ti. Opinar, debatir, manifestar, es un derecho al que todos tenemos privilegio. Por el contrario, callar es darle armas a los demás para que tomen decisiones por nosotros, y cuando no son acertadas, en muchas ocasiones suele ser tarde para revertirlas.

     La pasividad, puede ser buena o mala, según las circunstancias. En contra parte, ser activo trae mayores recompensas, aunque lleve riesgos implícitos.

Tired of so much injustice, so much misery, so many failures;
overwhelmed by the forced confinement, by the daily routine.
It is not words I express, but constant thoughts;
it's the powerlessness to do what is not allowed,
is the need to search for what has been taken away;
freedom has been lost, communication has been limited,
the greatness of your people is in the past,
the hope of the future, for many has diminished,
the pain of this misery has increasingly undermined.
the actions of your people more and more worn out every day.

The sunrises in my neighborhood are showing a new face,
the silence of the roosters, the emptiness of its streets,
the absence of birds and the infinity of nothingness,
a deep sadness is reflected in people,
a lost smile and a feeling of abandonment.

The innocence of children, ignorant of reality,
a momentary escape from the already eternal truth,
a light that appears in the face of so much darkness,
a joy that gives strength to fight.

Oh! My country, even when you have to endure,
this yoke that holds us to the wall;
how many more tears must be shed,
so that you may rise to the aid of those who have no power,
so that this vile selfishness can disappear.

     Today I dedicate this story, presented as a poem, born of the silence of my mouth and the cries of my thoughts, to all my brothers, to all my readers and to the community in general.

     Through it, I call for reflection, not to let silence speak for you. To express an opinion, to debate, to demonstrate, is a right to which we all have a privilege. On the contrary, silence is giving weapons to others to make decisions for us, and when they are not right, it is often late to reverse them.

     Passivity can be good or bad, depending on the circumstances. On the other hand, being active brings greater rewards, even if it carries implicit risks.
