Newcastle Put To The Sword.
Newcastle United go into this match with Arsenal on the back of 8 games without a win and they have only managed to score just 1 goal in 6 games.
Arsenal, on the other hand, has 10 points from a possible of 12 and they would hope to continue that impressive run against Newcastle.
Kieran Tierney is back to Arsenal's side as Mikel Arteta made 3 changes to the line up that faced Newcastle.
Arsenal was the favourite in this game and they started brightly too. David Luiz had a chance to put his team ahead but he couldn't control his header well. The impressive Saka is also back in the side and he was the one who broke through with Smith Rowe that led to the chance Luiz had.
Anyone would wonder why Smith Rowe started instead of Willian but he more than justified his inclusion in the starting line up for this game. I knew Arsenal would be a massive threat with Tierney, Smith Rowe and Saka.
Smith Rowe played a brilliant ball to Saka in the 15th minute but Saka's effort was saved and Auba played the spilt save but the cross bar came to the rescue.
Almiron also had a good run for Newcastle on the other end and he found Andy Carrol who gifted him back the ball but his strike went a bit higher. It was a decent effort but nothing came out of it.
In the 26th minute, Auba couldn't keep his shot down in the box when he should have buried that chance. It was a magnificent pass from Partey who found the impressive Smith Rowe and he found Auba.
In the 29th minute too, Lacazette couldn't deliver the goods as he was unable to connect well with the ball in the box and the story continues in the 44th minute when Auba tried a cross only to get lucky with a deflection that almost went into the top left corner if not for the save from the goalkeeper.
The first half ended 0-0 and you can expect Arsenal to come out fighting. Newcastle showed flashes of their brilliance and also defended well but Arsenal's final efforts were poor even though they got themselves into nice positions.
Arsenal started the second half with intent when Auba found the back of the net in the 49th minute. It was a huge relief for Arsenal as Arsenal's record signing, Partey found Auba and he did the rest when he ran the length of the field, handled his marker well and scored brilliantly. It was pure genius.
The goalkeeper got down a bit too early but you can't take away the brilliant goal Auba scored and that was his 205th career goals.
Carroll wanted to drag his team back into the fray in the 56th minute but his shot missed narrowly.
Arsenal killed any hope and extended their lead when the impressive Saka scored the second goal. Smith Rowe was at the heart of it again and played Saka in with a ball in the box and all Saka did was calmly bury the chance.
In the 65th minute, Tierney had a ball crossed across the goal but no one was on hand to connect with it. It would have been the easiest of tap ins. Arsenal came at Newcastle from every angle. Lacazette had a chance denied by the goalkeeper too.
The influence of Tierney, Saka and Smith Rowe grew so much in this match. It has been so long Newcastle felt the joy of winning and this trio made sure the run continued. Arsenal made it harder for them.
In the 77th minute, it was game over as Cedric made a wonderful effort to keep the ball in play and be found the captain, Auba who easily tapped in the effort to make it 3-0.
There is no denying that Arsenal played confidently and with class by putting Newcastle to the sword. It was a victory well deserved and they moved into 10th place ahead of Villa on goal difference too.

Arsenal owners do not care about results as much as they are interested in income and money. This is unfortunate for a team with this history.
