How Do We Get Out?
This situation seems to be beyond everyone
Or we are all cowards hiding behind close doors?
We hide behind closed doors and throw shots
For fear of getting killed or being a scapegoat
We have seen the script play out many times too
Lives lost with no sense of accountability or restitution
Gone and faded into oblivion with fading memories
Except for those closer to the victims who bear the deeper scar
We have voiced out and yet we got silenced
We have passed the message across but fell on deaf ears
We have been bullied, ignored, killed and ridiculed
Patriotism has been kicked to the curb
While our leaders dance to the tune of broken promises
Those who swore to protect us now seek to draw our blood
The expect compliance from the citizens but they are the lawbreakers
Civilization is in danger
When those who have never learned to obey
Are given the rights to command
This country is in a mess and how do we get out?
Maybe you can relate to this too regarding your country
It's scary that the future looks bleak with burnt dreams

I really wish it was that easy. Our leaders are ruthless and blood thirsty
