What do you hear about toothless Tigers? They can't bite but are still pretty dangerous due to the fact that they've got lethal sharp claws right? cool, how about a toothless and clawless Tiger? Lol, that should be a typical joke!

When playing Splinterlands it is normal to meet with players who have stronger cards than you do along your way to the top, most times you get your ass whooped no matter how much you try, but what if I told you that using some special combinations, you can reduce your enemies damage drastically to your advantage, making your enemy a toothless Tiger.

I present to you Naga Windmaster

This Serpent-man looking monster has 3 abilities on its highest level which are Headwinds, Poison and Shatter.
Headwinds reduces the ranged damage of all enemy monster, while poison does automatic damage on the enemy at the beginning of each rounds and shatter weakens the shield of the enemies monster when hit.

Pretty handy right? Enough talk, let's get into it. Back in high school, the system was pretty flawed due to excess theory and less practical, just as you'd guess, I didn't learn much lol. For the purpose of this post, during illustration we will be using the Naga Windmaster with only the Headwinds ability.

Here goes my line up

Unfortunately I was also met with a Naga Windmaster by my enemy so I had my ranged damage also reduced but unlike my enemy I had I came with back-up...strong back-up lol. To watch the replay of the battle on your device, click here.

My first line was headed by the monstrous Goblin Merch, with a damage of 4 and shield of 5, this card is a perfect fit for every large mana battles

you almost can't go wrong using it as your first warrior. It also has the ability to pierce through the enemies shield. Tough guy huh!

Right behind the Goblin Merch is the Prismatic Energy monster, what this monster does is reflect the enemies magic attacks, you just have to love this card, it comes in handy when the enemy loads its frontline with magic monsters.

The card is much more fun to use at its highest levels where it first reduces the enemies magic attacks then reflects with a damage of 3 and equipped with 11 lives. What a card!!!

Next we have the Sea Monster, I bet every Splinterlands player have this card as their favorite, I guess its even out of print due to the increasing demand for it, I must confess it's one of my best.

Like most cards, its more fun at its high levels where it has the ability to increase friendly monsters lives by 1. Are you taking notes of these power combinations?

Next on the line is the days super card, Naga Windmaster. To avoid repitition I already highlighted its abilities above

Like the other cards, its more fun to use at its highest levels where it has two other lethal abilities combined. Using it in this battle reduced the enemies damages giving me an upper hand.

Second to the last on the line is the Medusa.

I use it for the magic damage, its really cool combining it with the Alric the summoner as it has the ability to increase the magic damage by 1. So if Medusa can naturally damage the enemy card with 2, using it with Alric summoner automatically increases the damage by 1 making it 3. Just imagine having 2 magic monsters with damage of 3 each on your team, your enemy better be scared.

In this game, your first card is as important as your last on the line up, most times the enemy has cards with the ability to snipe from the back so protecting your behind is just as important.

This card is cool no doubt, but its much cooler when at level 4 and above because of its thorns ability which means when any card touches it, the card looses its own life, how dope is that! You get hurt for touching me!loool! So it comes in handy at protecting the behind or the front.

In a scenario where all my enemy cards were ranged monsters, using the Naga Windmaster, I have the ability to render them all toothless...lool....by drastically reducing their damage points...
