Splinter Market Splurge - Check out my flips

So I decided to go on a little Splurge in the Splinterlands market today, I loaded myself with enough Legendary and Alchemy potion and then bought 4 untamed packs. I used to think the potions were like guarantees that whatever cards you opened with them will be what the potion says, however I just realised that the potions were only to increase one's chances at hitting a special card.

Interestingly, I could afford this splurge based on the amount of DEC(In game currency) I had acquired over the previous seasons, and assuming I were lucky enough, I could have flipped a card that would be special enough to cover all my expenses. So, was the splurge worth it? Let's check the cards to answer that question.

Here I was able to flip cards that were totally my type, low mana, and quite useful. I also got a summoner with a special ability to increase the speed of my monsters by 1 in battle.

The highlight of this set will be the Totorsian Chief, an EPIC neutral monster. I see it coming handy in using the Water splinter where my summoner can increase its magic damage to 2 combined with the other magic monsters in it.

The next set gave me 2 cards with the "opportunity" ability and 2 Rares, I'm particularly drawn more towards the Serpentine Spy because it is from the FIRE splinter and I could really use one there with its opportunity ability.

The highlight of this set though will be the Khmer Princess a Rare monster of the Earth Splinter, I'm a huge fan of magic, I will have a swell time combining this card with other magic shooters in Earth splinter like the Goblin sorcerer.

The third pack gave me the best cards with a gold dragon summoner and a legendary dragon monster whoop whoop, finally the potions decided to put themselves to work here.

It definitely goes without saying that the highlight here is the Legendary Dragon monster, Gloridax guardian with 6 lives, 2 shields and the ability to reach the enemy cards inflicting a damage of 2. Combining this with summoner Daria automatically makes it have a melee damage of 3, a lethal weapon.

Lastly, the final set of cards gave me a gold card among others, the cursed slimeball, a 1 mana card with 1 melee damage and 2 lives. It gets more interesting at its higher levels though. The usefulness of a 1 mana card should never be underrated.

Comparing Splinterlands To Other Games

And that's it for my splurge in the Splinterland market today guys, talk about a run for my money. I spent 8$ on the packs and got almost 4.5$ back in card value, that's not bad at all if you will ask me, with this, I then ask you, which other game can give me such value and run for my money spent on a blockchain?

Moreover, asides the monetary value these cards have, they will also help in wining more battles and getting me higher in ranks which will lead to more season and daily quest rewards, I can't even boast of such experience in my favorite adventure games, can you?
