On Air Project

C'era una volta un gruppo di 3 ragazzi a cui piaceva organizzare delle festicciole, eravamo io Timo e il Paso.
Partimmo con piccoli eventi "di quartiere", se così li posso definire, in qualche stanza affittata a capannoni o circoli di alpini, delle feste davvero uscite bene!
Non tanto per il numero di persone, ma per il fatto che era tutto deciso da noi, tutto come noi volevamo che fosse, senza nessuno che ci tappasse le ali.

Once upon a time there was a group of 3 boys who liked to organize parties, it was me Timo and Paso.
We started with small "neighborhood" events, in some rooms rented to sheds or alpine clubs, some really good parties!
Not so much for the number of people, but for the fact that it was all decided by us, everything as we wanted it to be, without anyone clogging our wings.

La voglia di continuare salì sempre di più, fino a che ci ritrovammo a conoscere altri ragazzi con cui poi siamo riusciti ad arrivare in qualche discoteca, ci occupavamo ormai di creare un vero e proprio format per diverse serate a tema.
Volevamo a tutti i costi organizzare ogni tipo di evento possibile e immaginabile, avevevamo delle idee splendide, purtroppo ci è sempre mancato il gancio giusto o per meglio dire, abbiamo sempre trovato i ganci sbagliati.
Ho capito molto presto, purtroppo a mie spese, che l'unico modo di organizzare a modo nostro gli eventi era avere i soldi da investire; tutti e ripeto...tutti i personaggi con cui abbiamo avuto a che fare nel corso di questi giovani anni di eventi si sono rivelati sempre un flop, ma non perchè erano proprietari di locali poco noti o altro, ma proprio perchè hanno sempre preferito i soldi facili e immediati al costruirsi un nome e un pubblico.
Un piccolo esempio risale a quando abbiamo lavorato per mezza stagione in una nota discoteca sul lago di garda.

The desire to continue went up more and more, until we met other guys with whom we then managed to get to some discos, we now took care of creating a real format for different theme nights.
We wanted to organize every kind of event, we had splendid ideas, unfortunately we always lacked the right hook or better said, we always found the wrong hooks.
I realized very soon, unfortunately at my expense, that the only way to organize events in our own way was to have the money to invest; all, and I repeat ... all the characters we have dealt with during these young years of events have always proved to be a flop, but not because they were owners of little-known clubs or anything else, but precisely because they have always preferred the easy and immediate money to build a name and an audience.
A small example dates back to when we worked for half a season in a well-known disco on Lake Garda.

Il proprietario, a nostra insaputa, sapeva gia di chiudere i battenti quell'anno, cosi non si impegnò per niente nella promozione degli eventi e dava la colpa ai nostri format dell'insuccesso del locale, cosi abbiamo deciso di dimostrargli l'opposto, la serata successiva fù una normale serata targata dal locale...15 persone ragazzi...dove minimo ce ne erano almeno un centinaio a serata.
Dopo questa bella figuraccia tornò da noi per chiederci di ricominciare con i format, ma sapevamo benissimo che non potevamo continuare cosi, oltre al suo caratteraccio venivamo anche pagati male e in ritardo cosi decidemmo di affittargli il locale per fare un evento 100% nostro.

The owner, unbeknownst to us, already knew to close its doors that year, so he did not commit himself at all to the promotion of the events and blamed our formats for the failure of the club, so we decided to show him the opposite, the following evening we stayed at home, bet how many people went that night ... 15 people guys ... where at least there were at least a hundred of them per evening.
After this beautiful fool he returned to us to ask us to start again with the formats, but we knew very well that we could not continue like this, in addition to his temper we were also paid poorly and late so we decided to rent the place to him to make an event 100% ours.

Fù una cosa mai vista, intorno alle 1500 persone e uno spettacolo con special guest da paura, il pubblico si stava divertendo come non mai e noi anche, soddisfatti di ciò che avevamo appena creato.
Lui ebbe la faccia tosta di dire che l'evento era andato in perdita, ci aveva costretto ad usare il suo personale per la serata, anche per le casse e tra bottiglie non segnate che uscivano dal bar e chissa quale altra cazzata si è inventato a fine serata non abbiamo visto mezzo euro.
Secondo i nostri conti quella serata, tolte le spese e tutto quanto, ha generato intorno ai 20'000€.
penso sia stato il più grosso furto che abbia mai subito in tutta la mia vita.

It was something never seen, around 1500 people and a show with an excelent special guest, the audience was having fun like never before and we too, satisfied with what we had just created.
He had the tough face to say that the event had gone at a loss, he had forced us to use his staff for the evening, even for the cash desks and between unmarked bottles that came out of the bar and who knows what other shit he invented at late evening we did not see half a euro.
According to our maths, that evening, after cutting expenses and everything, generated around € 20,000.
I think it was the biggest theft I've ever experienced in my entire life.

Fortunatamente la soddisfazione di aver organizzato qualcosa di epico non ce l'ha potuta togliere, siamo andati avanti ancora qualche anno con dei bei progetti, uno in particolare si chiamava "SQUARE", svolto in location davvero belle in stile aperitivo/preserata.
Anche questo poteva diventare un format molto seguito, con 500 persone alla serata di lancio potevamo ben sperare.
Come al solito i proprietari del posto non ci lasciavano carta bianca, volevano fare le cose a modod loro e dopo una figura di merda di qua e un altra di la abbiamo dovuto mollare anche questo.
In questo ambito è molto difficile trovare dei validi colleghi, pensano tutti solo ai soldi facili.
Quando capiranno che non avranno costruito niente per il futuro forse se ne pentiranno.

Fortunately, the satisfaction of having organized something epic could not take it away from us, we went on for a few more years with some nice projects, one in particular was called "SQUARE", carried out in really beautiful locations in an aperitif style.
This too could become a very popular format, with 500 people at the launch evening we could have hoped for it.
As usual the owners of the place did not leave us decide some particulars, they wanted to do things in their own way, and after a bad impression here and another one there, we had to drop this too.
In this area it is very difficult to find valid colleagues, they all think only about easy money.
When they understand that they have not built anything for the future, perhaps they will regret it.
