Eventually every nation will need to do something like this. Plastic had its run, and we have to admit that we used entirely too much of it and we are running out of places to put it. We still need it though for certain things but we gotta work out methods of dealing with it properly afterwards.

Singapore is one of the smallest nations on Earth and after a while they had to do something to combat the near complete lack of space for waste disposal. They developed an incineration project that traps all pollutants and then turns it into an inert dust of sorts. It generates electricity and doesn't pollute. The only downside is that it is very expensive.

I totally agree with you, something needs to be done before it's too late.
The European Union has a decision that says all waste must be recycled by 2050 but I can see a lot of countries are nowhere with the project. There will be heavy sanctions.
In my city there's no selective waste collection for example. It's a shame.
Singapore at least did something and in time it will get back the costs and maybe work out something that is not so expensive.
