Este insecto de nombre cientifico, centipedes ( chilopods), son clases de miriapodos comunmente como centipedos,se describe con su cuerpo alargado,formado con veintiuno segmentos o tambien anillos con sus patas de cada lado miden hasta treinta centimetros,son rapidos y pueden poseer veneno.
Son carnivoros para capturar a su presa utilizan sus apendices bucales se puede decir que muy desarrollados donde secretan su veneno,se encuentran en suelos aridos o desiertos,se alimentan de insectos como gusanos,lombrices,caracoles ,serpientes,etc.
