RE: Ole Is Delusional

in OCD6 years ago

Interestingly, ever since Ole came to the club he has been the one who has steered away from that idea that Manchester United should be paying above the odds for players. Ole delusional? NO!

The main reason United have been losing money is because of that strategy of buying players above the market rate and on massive wages which then leaves the club unable to sell them on- ie Sanchez.

However, since Ole came he has been sanitizing the club of those kind of players, selling them or loaning them out and bringing in younger players on longer contracts at least 5 years.

That means the original contract is in effect for a good amount of their playing time at the club before they can come back in to negotiate for more pay and perks.

That said, United will be back on top in a couple of years if they stick with Ole-- Hopefully!

He is delusional thinking that the name Manchester United will attract the top players and Champions League football won't make any difference. Of course players will only look at clubs if they have a chance of winning trophies and playing in Europe. If they miss out again this season which is highly likely then the players that they want to sign will look elsewhere.

I totally get that. You have to imagine though that United don't really need players coming in because we just got Champions League. What we need is players coming in to help us compete and ready for that challenge not glory hunters. So, in a way, good riddance?
