Snapshot is around the corner, seeing steem price soaring, makes me think is that the major stake holder trying to buy in? I really don't know about it anymore. All I care is we all lost in this. Forking out was the only way? That's a defeat, or we can choose to give it a nicer name - damage control.

It just suddenly reminds me of this song. There's no one irreplaceable, but the only thing is, would you like to replace it? To me, steem was dead, and today it just died all over again. I know there is a new home for us called #hive, which is very promising and frankly it's here to "replace" the original old chain, and I saw this crazy scenary of people cheating old friends, abusing their caretaker role, took out other's belonging steem/SBD and send them to the caretaker's exchange account in order to collect airdrop.

I'm not going to comment who is right or who is LEFT anymore. There's no wrong here, only who is replaceable. As far as I know, @minnowbooster is not following to the new chain, don't forget to withdraw your SBD from your minnowbooster.net wallet. I used to have these to help boosting newbie's post. And I guess the fork is right, newbie whom received huge vote are usually spoilt and will not understand how hard is it to gain a good amount of audience. I totally get that now.

p/s: Added later, found this interesting fact. I withdrawn almost all of the SBD 8.383SBD, and guess how much am I getting back?

@thecryptodrive mind explain why such a heavy tax? 5% that is.

The real major stake holder is the Korean community. My this post, lost substantial of Korean support because my this account not on the exclude air drop list.

Frankly, I'm quite disappointed it has to resort to this way. I'm seeing a lot of short term negative impact to both sides, whether they can recover and thrive is another story, as you suggested. We shall see 2 years later if I'm still around. If not, you see it then tell me later when you join me at the better place 😂 !tip !shop

The Korean in fact wanted to remove the free downvote pool. It's not removing the downvote pool entirely, upvote and downvote are supposed to weight the same and using the same pool if I read their request correctly. Unfortunately, the language is just way too complicated and negotiation just doesn't go well. So now we have hive fork, which will detached from the chain, and there is a possible fork within steem chain later when the Koreans taking over the chain. Trust me they don't like spam either, but they don't like people who think english is the only language go and flag their Korean post without understanding what they're trying to say.

I can only agree with them. I read many posts and translate whole day on, never flagged a post because of it's language. But it happens here a lot also because of "bad" grammar. Frequently you cannot join but no one flags the badly written posts written by native speakers.

I guess we can only wait or leave to a different platform. It's not really fun this way. 💕

Well, I don't need to wait. I'm having that experience right now. My alt which I used exclusively for Chinese content(apparently voted for Chinese witness) is now excluded from the airdrop. What can I say?

I withdrawn 4600steem out this month. I did a rough calculation, excluding time spent, interests, electricity, my labor, I made -$40 after deduction of my initial investment. What a profit after writing thousands of posts and 10s of thousands of comment reply in 3 years.

I'll see you at hive, if I make it. Otherwise, I think I will continue do some spam here and there and slowly fade away. May be payout one or two more months of #fitness2020 contest and #hasil2020 and call them off. I still kept 100steems for you guys and hopefully they will still worth something by the time I pay them off.

Do what is best for you. I just figured out if you post with partiko it shows up in Hive. How can that be? I will stay here on Steemit. What I earned is 😭 it costed me way more but I like to know where this ship sails to.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out to. @partiko is on autopilot mode since it's follow anyx.io server. And the fork, anyx has shifted to hive and automatically partiko is hive now.

Anyway, assume all the activities from dApps are on hive, from now on. Use only steemit for anything to deal with steem.
