RE: Quick notes on being bullish
That is okay though, as it means I haven't been able to focus on the little dip that the market has gone through almost immediately after I bought more STEEM at what I thought was going to be the bottom. I bought around 2000 satoshis and if I had waited 6 hours or so, I would have been able to pick up 10% more. Them the breaks!
Awh yeah boiiii, I grabbed some @ 1770 satoshis yesterday 😎
Hey, 2k is still solid though!
Right or wrong, I am bullish on the future price of STEEM precisely because of the drama that is going on now in the case of Steemit Inc, Tron and the witnesses. I am hoping that the attention will lead to some people spending a little bit more time here and discover what has seemingly been hidden away from the rest of the crypto community.
I can't believe people are getting gloom and doom about this development. You listen to people crying about the soft fork and wonder if they have attempted to put themselves in the shoes of how a billionaire thinks (They haven't.)
Justin isn't worried about this, at all. People successful at that level don't get mad about petty things. Even if he lost his whole investment in STEEM it wouldn't really phase him. He bought this company to do something productive with it, and he's gonna do that. Ultimately, my prediction is the witnesses will cooperate with him rather than face a STEEM / STEEMClassic hard fork scenario.
I did ask for clarification if @darthknight meant that I was the gem - but no - he did indeed mean Steem. They also hold a bag of STEEM now too - a good call in my opinion. I hope more members of the Tron community who are looking for crypto social interaction discover that we are here and have a lot to offer them.
I wish I'd have seen more Tron users around... but to be fair, when an iOs and Android app exists and everything is launched mainstream, they will come. Even before then, should the price pump massively, old users will return and the whole hype-train vibe will come back. Which, to be honest, I don't miss and am not looking forward to, but there's no denying I'd prefer to have Steem feeling like less of a ghost town.
It is interesting how so few people seem to really know much about Steem in the industry, even though it has one of the most active and definitely the most socially active communities. In time, we will have to do a better job of getting the word out and the applications are going to be on the frontline of onboarding and retention, as they will be the face of Steem and of course the SMTs that will hopefully empower their userbase.
I seriously wonder whether STEEM should be renamed. I strongly dislike the name of the chain. It's about the least catchy thing I can think of, is just confusing with the spelling, and not inspiring-sounding enough to represent the vision it is trying to enact.
If I were in marketing, I would re-brand the chain at the official 2.0 launch when everything is more modern—instant on-boarding of users, phone apps, instant messaging plugins, etc. Put the shady history of the early days behind, turn over a new leaf with new leadership at the helm, etc. However, it's probably unlikely, but I can still grumble about it ;-) Take care Taraz!
Don't rub it in.
I think so too, and I reckon there is a the chance to create a lot of cross/platform development and interoperability that can leverage the strengths of each and shore up some of the weaknesses.
and all the naysayers will say "but just you wait" and when the first dip comes, they will sell whatever small benefits they gained, again :)
Would love to see some polished mobile apps.
