RE: Sheffield Steel Bowie Knife - If you are a knife collector I need your help
Okay, I found a couple spots - an Aution site https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/62433425_joseph-rodgers-sheffield-no-6-bowie-folding-knife Joseph Rodgers Sheffield No 6. Bowie Folding Knife. Measures 12" the short discription.
Also:from e-bay https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/antique-sheffield-steel-folding-bowie-1788592694
And from Sheffield collectible knives site: https://www.sheffieldcollectableknives.com/about/joseph-rodgers
JOSEPH RODGERS: SHEFFIELD’S MOST FAMOUS KNIFE MAKER, OWNER OF THE STAR AND CROSS TRADEMARK AND MAKER OF THE NORFOLK KNIFE
The last might be able to give you more information and be able to verify if it was one theirs or a knock off, since it was hard to see the makers marks clearly, it looked like two Maltese crosses to me and no star. But the top two have very similar pictures of knives.
Thanks for these great links. I saw the two about auctions before but wasn’t about to pay to see what they sold for. Didn’t care much about that since I am not going to sell it. The Sheffield site was awesome though. I think I may contact them with photos and see where I get. I appreciate that help!!!!!! 😁😁😁😊😊😊
Your welcome, I like to dig sometimes.
