The dream machine.

45th day of quarantine.

I painted a large oil painting on canvas representing the escape from chaos inside a white car. An instinctive attempt to get to a comfort zone in the chaos of the limitations imposed on us by quarantine. Suddenly we have a line in front of us, established by someone, fixed and impassable.

For many days this line has been strengthened with strict rules, with warnings for distancing, forced confinement in homes, prohibition of conversations with other people and externalization of our affections. It is forbidden to hug, kiss, shake hands, cough, sneeze, speak, that's what line has now become a sprawling monster.

He watches you and warns you.

There is another boundary line that is placed in our mind, but natural, inherent in our personality. It is a subtle demarcation that lies between our daily experience and the imaginative space that we all have to varying degrees.
A line that separates two worlds, the real with its rules and customs and the fantastic. Sometimes it happens that one of the two worlds crosses that line entering the space of the other with which it interacts.

When reality merges with fantasy the line is overcome and we create a new mental environment where rationality is very far away. This new creative process occurs in certain emotional or psychic conditions and it is not controllable.
We can overcome the dividing line with the help of artificial or natural external factors, such as drugs or medications, which will stimulate the creation of that new world.

This is a palliative solution that re-proposes the problem.

Sometimes it happens that the process of cancellation of the line is generated on its own, without drugs or alcohol, an unexpected resource that is triggered in certain moments of deprivation or states of crisis. It is our inner request that allows us to travel beyond the rules, to survive adversity by seeking new stimuli.

It would be our ability to create a fantastic machine that allows us to travel between the tentacles that want to block us.
It is our instinctive search for comfort through an organization of the state of well-being with a new machine that manages to discard the dividing line imposed by others with prohibition signs.

La macchina dei sogni.

45° giorno di quarantena.

Ho dipinto un grande quadro ad olio su tela che rappresenta la fuga dal caos dentro una macchina bianca. Un tentativo istintivo di arrivare ad una zona di comfort nel caos delle limitazioni che ci hanno imposto con la quarantena.
Improvvisamente abbiamo davanti una linea, stabilita da qualcuno, fissata e invalicabile.

Da molti giorni questa linea è rafforzata con delle regole rigide, con ammonimenti al distanziamento, ad un confinamento forzato nelle case, ai divieto di conversazioni con altre persone e di esternazione delle nostre affettività.
E' vietato abbracciarsi, baciarsi, stringersi la mano, tossire, starnutire, parlare, ecco la che linea ora è diventata un mostro tentacolare.

Ti osserva e ti ammonisce.

C'è un'altra linea di confine che è posta nella nostra mente, ma naturale, connaturata alla nostra personalità. E' una sottile demarcazione che sta tra il nostro vissuto quotidiano e lo spazio immaginativo che abbiamo tutti in misura diversa.

Una linea che separa due mondi, il reale con le sue regole e consuetudini e il fantastico. Qualche volta accade che uno dei due mondi travalica quella linea entrando nello spazio dell'altro con il quale interagisce.

Quando la realtà si fonde con la fantasia la linea viene superata e creiamo un nuovo ambiente mentale dove la razionalità è molto lontana. Questo nuovo processo creativo avviene in determinate condizioni emotive o psichiche
e non è controllabile.

Possiamo superare la linea di demarcazione con l'aiuto di fattori esterni artificiali o naturali, come le droghe o i farmaci, che stimoleranno la creazione di quel nuovo mondo. Questa è una soluzione palliativa che ripropone il problema.

A volte succede che il processo di cancellazione della linea si generi da solo, senza droghe o alcool, una risorsa inaspettata che scatta in determinati momenti di privazione o stati di crisi.

E' una nostra richiesta interiore che ci permette di viaggiare oltre le regole, di sopravvivere alle avversità cercando nuove stimolazioni. Sarebbe la nostra capacità di creare una macchina fantastica che ci permette di viaggiare tra i tentacoli che vogliono bloccarci.

E' la nostra ricerca istintiva del comfort attraverso una organizzazione dello stato di benessere con una nuova macchina che riesce a scartare la linea di demarcazione imposta da altri con segnali di divieto.
