Her, the emotional beauty.

Hello to all dear friends and welcome back to my blog.

I want to talk to you about the concept of beauty and to do it, this morning, I painted my last watercolor. A classic subject inspired by many landscapes that I was lucky enough to see live.

As you know, here in Italy we cannot leave the house unless we have a self-certification or a special authorization.
Millions of people are locked in the house, each trying to commit their time, and only a few lucky ones in smart working.
I am among those who can go out, very carefully though. I can go to paint in my studio 100 meters away from home, but first check that the road is free and quickly I run that stretch of road that separates me, and I enter.

I close myself inside, paint, listen to music, if I don't feel like reading, or I try to imagine and dream and reflect.

Beauty, emotions and humanity.

In extreme cases and in global crises, man has always sought solutions to solve problems. To deal with tragedies or difficult situations, man, beyond the rational attitude, also resorts to innate, mental and physiological solutions, emotions.

Emotions are our reaction to an external phenomenon.

In evolutionary terms, we react to critical situations that need us a quick solution to survive.

The cause-and-effect phenomenon in the Platonic sense is a classic example.

When we get excited we leave the cognitive or rational sphere, that is, we do not have a conscious processing but an immediate response to the stimulus.
With emotions we can communicate to others our moods, which often influence them, and ultimately we also put the sphere of feelings into play.

We can make, use or share Art, in any case it is an emotional response to a stimulus. It becomes a clear and positive message when we live it, inside and outside of us. Art is the first aesthetic expression of our human interiority, of the mood. Art excites us and helps us to overcome social barriers and relationship problems, it leads us towards the sublimation of our humanitas.

So how do you get out of a drama?

Approaching Beauty will lead us towards this form of Humanitas that the Greeks represented to the world together with comedy and tragedy. The Romans will continue the spread of emotions and beauty of the Greek theater.

Plubio Terenzio Afro, one of the greatest playwrights, teaches us in his comedy Heautontimorumenos (the punisher of himself) that it is the duty and right of a man to take care of other men, take care of them and try to lift them from pain.

"Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienum puto"
"I am a human being, I do not consider anything human to be foreign to me"
Terenzio's message is clear.
Evoking pain and helping man to overcome it is a mission that is very often represented in the theater, which is nothing but a school of life. The message arrives, in Western culture only through the Greek world, a world so inclined to beauty and an understanding of the other person and of Nature.

So beauty is a great container of emotional instances that start solidarity relationships between men, sublimating them in their essence. Painting, theater, music, dance, literature, poetry free us from animality and offer the necessary answers to overcome crises, an immense resource, a very deep sea from which we, Human Beings can draw forever.

Lei, la bellezza emotiva.

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Voglio parlarvi del concetto di bellezza e per farlo, questa mattina, ho dipinto il mio ultimo acquarello. Un soggetto classico ispiratomi da moltissimi paesaggi che ho avuto la fortuna di vedere dal vivo.

Come sapete qui in Italia non possiamo uscire di casa se non muniti di un'autocertificazione o di una autorizzazione speciale. Milioni di persone sono chiuse in casa, ognuno a cercare di impegnare il proprio tempo, e solo alcuni fortunati in smart working. Io sono tra quelli che possono uscire, con molta attenzione però.
Posso andare a dipingere nel mio studio distante 100 metri da casa, però prima controllo che la strada sia libera e velocemente corro quel tratto di strada che mi separa, ed entro.
Mi chiudo dentro, dipingo, ascolto musica, se non ho voglia leggo, oppure provo a immaginare e a sognare e a riflettere.

Bellezza, emozioni e umanità.

Nei casi estremi e in crisi globali, l'uomo ha sempre cercato soluzioni per risolvere i problemi.
Per affrontare drammi o situazioni difficili, l'uomo, al di là dell'atteggiamento razionale, ricorre anche a soluzioni innate, mentali e fisiologiche , le emozioni.
Le emozioni sono la nostra reazione ad un fenomeno esterno.

In termini evolutivi, reagiamo a situazioni critiche che ci impongono una soluzione rapida per sopravvivere.
Il fenomeno di causa-effetto, in senso platonico è un esempio classico.
Quando ci emozioniamo usciamo dalla sfera cognitiva o razionale, ossia non abbiamo una elaborazione cosciente ma una risposta immediata allo stimolo.

Con le emozioni possiamo comunicare agli altri i nostri stati d'animo, che spesso vanno a influenzarli, e in ultimo mettiamo in gioco anche la sfera dei sentimenti. Possiamo fare, usufruire o condividere l'Arte, in ogni caso essa è una risposta emozionale ad uno stimolo.

Diventa un messaggio chiaro e positivo allorquando la viviamo, dentro e fuori da noi.

L'arte è la prima espressione estetica della nostra interiorità umano, dello stato d'animo.
L'arte ci emoziona e ci aiuta a superare barriere sociali e problemi relazionali, essa ci condice verso la sublimazione della nostra humanitas.

E allora come uscire da un dramma?

Avvicinarci al Bello ci condurrà verso questa forma di Humanitas che i greci hanno rappresentato al mondo insieme alla commedia e alla tragedia. I romani continueranno la diffusione di emozioni e bellezza, del teatro greco.

Plubio Terenzio Afro, uno dei più grandi commediografi ci insegna nella sua commedia Heautontimorumenos (il punitore di se stesso) che è dovere e diritto di un uomo di interessarsi degli altri uomini, prendersi cura e di cercare di sollevarli dal dolore.

"Sono un essere umano, non ritengo a me estraneo nulla di umano"

Il messaggio di Terenzio è chiaro.
Evocare il dolore e aiutare l'uomo a superarlo è una missione che viene rappresentata molto spesso nel Teatro che altro non è che scuola di vita.

Il messaggio arriva, nella cultura occidentale solo attraverso il mondo greco, un mondo così incline alla bellezza e alla comprensione dell'altro da se e della Natura.

Quindi la bellezza è un grande contenitore di istanze emotive che avviano alle relazioni solidali tra gli uomini sublimandoli nella loro essenza.
Pittura, teatro, musica, danza, letteratura, poesia ci affrancano dall'animalità ed offrono le risposte necessarie per superare le crisi, una risorsa immensa, un mare profondissimo dal quale noi, Esseri Umani possiamo attingere per sempre.
