The last few nights I have had really crazy dreams. I think if I sat down to illustrate them I would never finish the drawings. Most of them are associated with death, but not from a painful vision, but from a cycle perspective, however, they have been funny dreams.

I remember a while ago that I proposed an illustration for a collection of poems, and the editor told me to draw the character with open, because with closed eyes she looked like she was dead. I explained to him that, certainly, according to myth, the character died.
Recuerdo hace un tiempo que planteé una ilustración para un poemario, y el editor me dijo que dibujara al personaje con los ojos abiertos, porque con los ojos cerrados parecía que estaba muerta. Le expliqué que, ciertamente, de acuerdo al mito, el personaje moría.
But I had that restlessness of the character with closed eyes that seems dead, because we also have our eyes closed when we dream, and nothing is closer to life than dreams.
Pero quedé con esa inquietud del personaje con los ojos cerrados que parece muerto, porque también tenemos los ojos cerrados cuando soñamos, y nada más cercano a la vida que los sueños.

Jejeje me gusta tu dibujo, ¿Para colorear la piel usas la herramienta acuarela o lapiz y te apoyas con disminuir la opacidad en otras capas?
Tienes razón! Rompí el link. Ya lo reparo.
Coloreo la piel en una sola capa, con sus sombras y luces, y las líneas en otra capa, y luego me encargo de ajustar el color. Utilizo un pincel tipo esponja, y es al pincel al que le disminuyo la opacidad y vario entre Normal y Multiplicar. Antes trabajaba las sombras y las luces en capas distintas, porque sentía que tenía mayor control de los errores. Pero finalmente he decidido hacerlo todo en una misma capa, cómo pintar.
