What is local media and Why it is important?

Local Media is a term used to refer to a radio station or local paper present in your area that works mainly to assist the communications needs of the communities or cities. Local Media is essential because it helps in giving quick and accurate information on the spot. It reveals about the facts which help people become aware of it on the same day.

c. Local media helps incovering small issues that involve ordinary people and their daily lives.

d. It makes make documentary films based on real social issues.

e. Papers Written in the local language, reports on Dalit issues and other social issues and cases of violence against women and political corruption.

What about my area?

In my area we have do have a local medias. Actually it is a TV channel not just one but many news tv channels that covers all the updates regarding everything happening in the town.

The days when local media used to refer solely to your local paper or radio station are gone, as social networks roll out new products and new startups emerge.

Currently we are only prioritizing to watch all the updates and news on the TV channels. I'm not even sure if the delivery for newspaper is still available or not. I stopped buying newspaper the day lockdown was initiated in India.
