Since I was little I had a lot of contact with nature, as my grandfather deeply enjoys growing and caring for plants in the garden of his house, the place where I grew up and formed my values. In his courtyard rest diverse plants, from beautiful ornamental figures that decorate the exterior with their particular beauty, to plants with delicious fruits and magnificent medicinal properties.

If I stroll through the garden, I will get various figures that stand out from the others for their use and unparalleled attractiveness.

For example, in the first place, the presence of the colloquially nicknamed "Indian hemp" stands out; a plant with thick and powerful leaves, with a beautiful white flower, whose tea we use to treat kidney ailments and stomach inflammations. In addition to possessing a potent ability to heal the body, it is also a beautiful plant. You can see it below:

We also have a small pineapple plant, which fruits small, purplish fruits that can only be enjoyed as decoration. However, it seems to me something exotic and particular that gives a delicate touch to the garden. The small fruits are tender and their color is really striking.

Similarly, we are accompanied by different individuals of the so-called "moringa plant", a small tree of Latin American origin, whose leaf and seeds have excellent medicinal properties, such as strengthening nails and hair, and helping the hardness of the bones. This tree is quite abundant in my house, where we have several, as my father is very fanatic, because it helps him a lot to treat his back pains. Another very important plantations are the plants of plantain, cambur and "topocho ", which give us delicious food every season. We have had a salvation through these fruits; they are a miracle that we take care of with a lot of dedication and effort, planting new ones every time one perishes. As its companion, there is the so-called "sábila", mostly known as aloe vera, which we use to treat cuts, burns, and everything that has to do with taking care of the skin. This plant is a survivor; it lives without much care in almost any season at the moment.

All these plants represent options for those moments when we need medicine or food; they are excellent companions that, besides decorating, also help us in our daily lives. Therefore, to all those people who still do not dare to have a plant in their possession, I say from my heart that it is a job and a vocation that is worth it; plants are a wonderful gift from the planet that deserves to be cared for and protected, since, after all, we depend on them in many ways, and they represent an excellent option to get us out of trouble.
