Es oportuno que nos comuniquemos y podamos compartir varias vivencias respecto a nuestro estilo de vida durante la Pandemia. En este sentido invito a participar a @yordije23, @mariela53 y @azuleja43 en este interesante concurso.

It is opportune for us to communicate and share various experiences regarding our lifestyle during the Pandemic. In this sense, I invite @yordije23, @mariela53 and @azuleja43 to participate in this interesting contest.

En lo particular, puedo afirmar que he intentado mantenerme en pie, porque modestia aparte, me considero un pilar muy importante en mi familia, tanto respecto a mis padres como hacia mis hijos y esposo. Por tal razón, hago todo lo posible por mantener mi salud, lo cual no es sencillo, porque además trabajo en una empresa que eventualmente requiere mi asistencia presencial, con reducción horaria claro está y con medidas de bioseguridad.

In particular, I can say that I have tried to stay on my feet, because modesty aside, I consider myself a very important pillar in my family, both with respect to my parents and my children and husband. For this reason, I do everything possible to maintain my health, which is not easy, because I also work in a company that eventually requires my attendance in person, with reduced hours of course and with biosecurity measures.

Tengo mucha confianza en la medida del uso de mascarilla reglamentaria, lavado de manos y desinfección con alcohol. Igualmente me cuido en lo posible manteniendo distancia social. Esta actitud no siempre es bienvenida, ni comprendida por allegados y familiares. Por ejemplo, han fallecido familiares, por causas ajenas al virus, y no he asistido a los funerales, con dolor de mi alma, porque han sido seres muy amados por mí, pero prevalece lo que considero razonable. Debo evitar contagiarme y contagiar a quienes comparten mi hogar conmigo. Repito, en lo posible, porque estoy consciente que el virus puede contagiarse en cualquier momento y en cualquier lugar, sin embargo tomo las medidas de bioseguridad a mi alcance.

I am very confident in the use of a regulation mask, hand washing and disinfection with alcohol. I also take care of myself as much as possible by keeping a social distance. This attitude is not always welcomed or understood by family members and relatives. For example, relatives have passed away, for reasons unrelated to the virus, and I have not attended the funerals, with pain in my soul, because they have been very dear to me, but what I consider reasonable prevails. I must avoid infecting myself and those who share my home with me. I repeat, as far as possible, because I am aware that the virus can spread at any time and in any place, however I take the biosecurity measures within my reach.

Hay personas más relajadas en este sentido, cada quien tiene sus razones y recursos. Particularmente con el único recurso que cuento es la prevención. Valoro mucho las bebidas calientes naturales para reforzar el sistema inmune. En este sentido, mi estilo de vida cambió: no mantengo visitas ni asisto a eventos y reuniones familiares importantes, como la citada anteriormente.

Some people are more relaxed in this sense, everyone has their own reasons and resources. In particular, the only resource I count on is prevention. I value very much natural hot drinks to strengthen the immune system. In this sense, my lifestyle has changed: I do not visit or attend important family events and gatherings, such as the one mentioned above.

En cuanto al trabajo quiero agregar que se me abrieron posibilidades muy fructíferas: me aboqué por la atención de consultas de psicología a distancia, modalidad que antes había descartado, y que hoy día me parece una alternativa excelente. Me decidí también a redactar e intercambiar en Steemit, y me encanta el mundo y la interacción virtual, así como también estas actividades me generan ingresos adicionales para aportar en el hogar. Descubrí junto a mi madre, que también podíamos comercializar salsas para pastas y tenemos algunos clientes que nos compran. Todo esto, surgió en tiempos de Pandemia, antes inmersa en trabajo de oficina, no visualizaba estas posibilidades, aun cuando requería ingresos extra. Te muestro parte de lo que usamos como publicidad para difundir nuestro producto:

As far as work is concerned, I would like to add that very fruitful possibilities have opened up for me: I started to work in remote psychology consultations, a modality that I had previously discarded, and that today seems to me to be an excellent alternative. I also decided to write and exchange on Steemit, and I love the virtual world and interaction, as well as these activities generate additional income for me to contribute at home. I discovered with my mother that we could also market pasta sauces and we have some customers who buy from us. All this came about in times of Pandemic, before, immersed in office work, I did not visualize these possibilities, even when it required extra income. Con mis hijos adolescentes, me duele ver cómo están perdiendo tantas vivencias bellas a su edad, por ejemplo, mi hija no pudo celebrar sus 15 años (celebración muy importante en nuestra cultura) con sus amigos e igualmente por estos días se gradúa de Bachiller y no habrá acto de grado. Mi hijo, que entró en Bachillerato, no ha podido disfrutar de su nueva etapa, y está recargado de tareas. He aquí en una de sus clases virtuales por teléfono:

With my teenagers, it hurts me to see how they are losing so many beautiful experiences at their age, for example, my daughter could not celebrate her 15th birthday (very important celebration in our culture) with her friends and also these days she is graduating from high school and there will be no graduation ceremony. My son, who entered high school, has not been able to enjoy his new stage, and is overloaded with homework. Here he is in one of his virtual classes on the phone:

Como les dije, esto me causa algo de tristeza, sin embargo no me estaciono en esa emoción, y los animo y trato de hacerles sus días lo mejor posible, complacerlos con pequeños detalles y recordándoles que hay que preservar la salud y esperar que esto pase.

As I told you, this causes me some sadness, however I don't dwell on that emotion, and I encourage them and try to make their days as good as possible, pleasing them with small details and reminding them to preserve their health and wait for this to pass.

Con la Pandemia, he podido apreciar lo más importante de la vida, la salud, la paz y la familia y que somos capaces en las circunstancias más difíciles sustentar nuestro hogar. El ser humano tiene todo el potencial para afrontar y así lo ha hecho desde que el mundo es mundo. Igualmente la comunicación es muy importante, nadie planifica morir, y es bueno preparar a los hijos, yo los aconsejo y les digo: “Aprendan a trabajar, valoren esta casa que es de ustedes y siempre apóyense”. Esto no hubiera sucedido en circunstancias normales, hemos crecido mucho como personas.

With the Pandemic, I have been able to appreciate what is most important in life, health, peace and family and that we are capable in the most difficult circumstances to sustain our home. Human beings have all the potential to cope and have done so since the world began. Likewise, communication is very important, nobody plans to die, and it is good to prepare the children, I advise them and tell them: "Learn to work, value this house that is yours and always support each other". This would not have happened under normal circumstances, we have grown a lot as people.

Damos gracias a Dios cuando cumplimos años y lo celebramos solos en casa. He aquí celebrando el cumpleaños de mi esposo, sus 50 años.

We thank God when we have a birthday and celebrate it alone at home. Here I am celebrating my husband's 50th birthday.

Mi acercamiento a lo Divino se ha acentuado, cada vez creo más y tengo más fe. Dios es mi fortaleza. Hágase Su Voluntad.

My approach to the Divine has increased, I believe more and more and I have more faith. God is my strength. His Will be done.
