Much has been said about this topic, Emotional Intelligence, however, in the educational system prevails the importance of the cognitive, the intellectual. It is common and curious to see how so many people with a great intellectual background, with a lot of knowledge, have difficulties to adapt to a certain environment, for example, the workplace. Therefore, it is important from an early age, to encourage emotional intelligence in children, but mainly the adult to form, must self-form or be educated in this sense. That is why several authors, psychologists and counselors insist on this point, which although it has been widely disseminated, it has not been internalized.

Emotional intelligence implies knowing oneself and developing communication skills such as empathy and sensitivity to oneself and to other people. People who base their interaction solely on intellectuality may ignore other people's points of view, which often leads to problems in interpersonal relationships due to the lack of importance or the dismissal of manifestations other than their own; it also undermines teamwork and progress, because seeing a problem from different perspectives can generate creative solutions.

From preschool, emphasis should be placed on the development of the child's emotional intelligence, working on self-concept, impulse control and motivation. For this, there are different play techniques that apply according to the evolutionary development of the student.

A person who knows himself, will be able to identify his weaknesses and will not be taken by surprise by any reaction, but will be able to self-regulate his behavior and that his emotions do not dominate him, but that he is able to manage his emotions intelligently.

A person with emotional intelligence develops social skills and competencies that allow him to interact productively with the environment around him, creating spaces for creation and exchange.
