The echinacea plant is the best known and most studied of the medicinal herbs for
stimulate the immune system. Echinacea stimulates the general activity of cells responsible for fighting all types of infection.
Alfred Vogel, discovered Echinacea purpurea in the early 1950s, on one of his many trips to the United States, and this time, in South Dakota. He became close friends with Black Elk, "Black Elk" chief of the Dakota Indian tribe, who introduced him to the art of healing with the plant and gave him echinacea seeds as a gift. From then on, echinacea became an essential plant for Alfred Vogel.
