Greetings great minds, I welcome you all to my blog, I will be writing the acheivement 3 task post which talks on content ettiquette and plagiarism.

Plagiarism is an act of showing one's work in your's without their knowledge.
When you showcase ones ideas or work as your own, you have done plagiarism.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

We have different types of plagiarism which I will be talking about in this post, they are:

  • Direct plagiarism
  • Para-phrasive plagiarism
  • Complete plagiarism
  • Source plagiarism
  • Self plagiarism

DIRECT PLAGIARISM: when one takes part of one's work and attaches it to his or her own work. That person is said to have to done direct plagiarism.

PARA-PHRASIVE PLAGIARISM: paraphrasive plagiarism is an act where one makes little changes from the original content.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM: this is the word to word type of plagiarism, copying the entire content of another person, it's said to be the worst type of plagiarism.

SOURCE PLAGIARISM: taking contents from the internet with sourcing it is source plagiarism.

SELF PLAGIARISM: this is an act of copying or repeating your old work without referencing it.

*After knowing each type of plagiarism, let quickly look at the factors that causes plagiarism act.

FACTORS THAT CAUSES PLAGIARISM

The major factors that causes plagiarism are

  • ICT
  • Academic work
  • Career
  • Rules and regulations

ICT: this is one major factor that causes plagiarism, you can get information from the internet, it's an easy thing now as it accessible through our common devices like phones and laptops. With this people will rather take work from the internet instead of using their own ideas.

ACADEMIC WORK: this is yet another factor, the academic field is full is a pressure zone where everyone wants to make good grades, so plagiarism is usually done lazy student or students that wants to meet up.

CAREER: people tends in indulge in plagiarism in other to keep their career jobs.

REGULATIONS: it's a factor also, no laid down laws concerning plagiarism, so it's not in any countries constitution.

What is steemit?? Steemit is a decentralized platform based on the steem block-chain, rewards it's users for their nice and quality content. Looking at the definition, so steemit as a body despises plagiarism and can mute any user that practices it.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

  • Citations
  • Main ideas
  • Reference

CITATIONS: always cite any work taking from the internet

MAIN IDEAS: the best way to avoid plagiarism is by using your own ideas in writing a post.

REFERENCE: make references when using someone's work and even your own old works.
