Heyy everyone is your money hungry man victoh
here to complete his achievements 2
For this post I will be talking on basic security on steemit and
what each keys are for.
Also I will be answering 5 questions
This questions are all concerned with the security of our accounts
Our steemit account is very precious and need protection from external forces and our keys need protection from being misplaced.
One this accounts will be worth millions and you and I the Pioneers
We will be very rich

Question 1

Have you retrieved all your keys

Answer

Yes I have retrieved all my keys
This I did when I opened my account newly

Question 2

Do you know each keys function and restriction

Answer

They are four essential keys and they are as follows

1- Posting key:

As the name implies it can allow the user to resteem, vote and post. I use my private posting key each time I want to login.

2-Active key:

This key is responsible for actions such as transfer of funds, powering up / powering down your steem, transfer and converting of steem dollars, voting for witness and updating profile details in the settings option.

3 - Owner key:

This is one of the most powerful key and should only be used when necessary. You can use this key to change other keys. I also use this key to login when I want to follow a communities curation trail.

4 - Memo key:

This key is used for encrypting and decrypting data. I use this key when I want to recieve steem or SBD from another account outside steemit.

Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master password

Answer

My master password is the most important password must be kept save.
I would keep my master password on an offline hard disk . I also backed to my WPS office cloud and to my google drive. This way I can always retrieve it when needed and from any device once I log in.

Question 4

How to transfer your steem to another steem user account

Answer

• Step 1: Go to your wallet

• Step 2: click on the Steem arrow directly above the steem power

• Step 3: Click on transfer

• Step 4: Put down the account you want to send to (in the space written "To")

• Step 5: Select the amount you want to send to the above user.

NB: The memo space is optional and public. You can choose to leave it blank.

• Step 6: Select ok.

The next screen is made available for the purpose of confirmation. Once you confirm by pressing ok, you will be take to a place where you insert your active key or owner key or master key and the transaction is as good as done.

Question 5

How do you power up /down on steem it?

Answer

It's quite similar to what we just talked about but for ease of understanding I would be showing it again.

Power Up

• Step 1: click on the downward facing arrow next to steem.

• Step 2: click on the power up option in the pop up box.

• Step 4: insert the amount you wish to power up.

• Step 4: select Ok

Next you would come across the confirmation section which you wou have to select ok to confirm that you want to go on with the transaction.

• Step 5: input either you active, owners or master key and click on sign in and your power up would be done instantly.

Power down

• Step 1: click on the downward facing arrow next to steem power

• Step 2: select the power down option.

• Step 3: tweek it to the amount you want to power down. Note that the powering down process can take up to a week.

• Step 4: select power down.

• Step 5: input the necessary keys which they ask you for and your powering down would be complete. Although we are advised to power up as much as possible on the Steem blockchain as to enjoy it more and gain more influence.

Conclusion

I have successfully completely this achievement and effected any necessary corrections. If you come across any other faults please do well to let me know. Hope I was also able to educate a few people who didn't know a couple of things in this achievement2 post.
